Where are BDH bars sourced from?
We are proud to be an authorised New Zealand distributor for Ocean Foods, the manufacturer of BDH High Energy Bars. These bars are produced in China by Qinhuangdao Ocean Food Co., Ltd., a company established in 1960 that has built a strong reputation for high-quality, long-life food products. All stock is imported directly into our warehouse in Levin, NZ, ensuring authenticity and reliability.

How do I store my BDH Bars?
A pantry or wardrobe will work for most people to achieve the 20 year life for this product. As long as they are stored at a reasonably constant temperature and away from moisture they will last the full 20 year life span.
What preservatives are used?
Our BDH Bars are preservative free. The compacted bars are prepared, stripped of oxygen and double packaged to achieve their extraordinary shelf life.
Can I just eat these everyday instead of regular food?
They are yummy! But the short answer is no. Great for a burst of energy or in a survival situation these are made to sustain you. It would not however, be a healthy alternative to a balanced diet.
